Alumni
The Alumni Association of B M S College for Women is a registered association under the Karnataka Societies Registered Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17, 1960).
BMS College for Women has shaped many educationists, managers, entrepreneurs, celebrities, teachers etc. The Alumni Association brings all these people together on a single platform and develops synergistic plans to aid and improve Institutional endeavours. It works to strengthen ties between the Institutions and the alumni, so that the alumni can participate in various activities including cultural and social activities. Our association is also a focal point of contact among alumni to interact and network with each other.
Vision
The Alumni Association is a dynamic, member focused organization, driven by Franciscan values and directed towards supporting the social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of all present and future alumni of B M S College for Women.
Mission
The mission of the Alumni Association is to enrich and perpetuate the bonds between the college and those who have passed through the gates for their mutual growth, support, and benefit.
Objectives
- To promote and develop the mutual relationship and rapport among the alumni, the present students, the staff, the management and trustees of B M S College for women.
- To arrange guest lectures on science and other subjects by inviting eminent Alumni and other experts in their Field of Specialization.
- To institute scholarships, prize medals, etc, to deserving students, with a view to encourage healthy competition and bring out best in the students.
- To institute cultural, literary and sports activities among Alumni.
- To identify and honour eminent, senior Alumni who are members of the Association.
- To bring about contact between the past and present students by holding periodical Alumni day celebrations
- To Engage in Adult education programme, Adopting/Visiting Government/aided schools.
