Library Overview

BMS College for Women Library has substantial information and it is enlightening as a knowledge centre. Through our resources, we are earnestly committed to enhance the quality of learning which has continuous services in our college. Our college library is housed on the first floor in a very spacious area and well seating capacity, with a separate reading room and a Reference section, Periodical section, Reprographic section, Competitive Book Corner, Technical section, Display of New Arrivals and so on.The library serves as a central information centre for students, staff and researchers. The Library offers an expansive collection comprising more than sixtythousands of Reference books, Textbooks, Journals (both National and International), periodicals and Other resources.

Library serves as aninformation centre for all of its clientele and it endeavours to improve its services by adopting the best practices and implementing them for the benefit of users and research scholars. Our library is equipped with academically superior e-resources ensuring that our students are exposed to the best journals and resources of their field of interest through “National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)” of INFLIBNET Centre, under this more than 6000+ e-journals and 31,35,000+ e-books can be accessed.The library has adopted an open access system to facilitate readers to have easy access to the library resources. The library has also established links with other major libraries at the regional level, in order to provide inter–library access for the benefit of students and staff. General Reference, current awareness and computerized catalogue have been introduced to assist the students and help the research scholar to locate literature and acquire information in research.
